ACME is dedicated to the outstanding performance of contemporary American masterworks. The primary purposes of the ensemble are to expose the public to contemporary classical music, an often underrepresented art form, in order to ensure its preservation; to increase appreciation of contemporary classical music among the general public and further enrich cultural life; and to educate about the importance of contemporary classical music in the context of today’s society.

As is the case with most non-profit arts organizations, revenue from ticket sales accounts for only a fraction of the cost of producing a concert. To meet its expenses, ACME depends on gifts made by generous individuals who support the organization’s mission.
